Club Practices
Club practices are generally held on Saturdays from 2 to 4pm at the Windblown XC Touring Center. If snow conditions are not sufficient for skiing an alternative dryland practice will be held or the practice will be cancelled. Members are asked to arrive at 1:30 to allow enough time to prep their equipment and make their way to the practice area. Each practice will be a bit different but will generally follow this format:
  • Warm Up (30 min): warm up on skis while playing a game such as soccer or tag.
  • Instruction (45 min): work on either Classic or Freestyle (skating) technique in the practice area.
  • Tour (45 min): ski the trails at Windblown to practice technique away from the practice area.
For Parents
Parents are encouraged to attend the practices and assist if possible. Please check this website periodically for announcements and updates to the event schedule and practices.
